SAP Solution: automotive industry

The imminent end of the passenger car combustion engine and new mobility concepts pose challenges for the automotive industry. Among other things, the supplier Mahle is relying on a uniform PLM landscape and the integration of various CAD systems into SAP.

A few years ago, core competence was a popular term. Then, imperceptibly, the paradigm shift began. More and more often, every IT provider could do everything. Differentiation appears impossible for the user. There is a lack of orientation and credibility.

Classic EDI processes continue to form the backbone for data exchange between companies, especially in the automotive industry. Now, several technical paradigm shifts are imminent. For companies, there is therefore an acute need for action.

A recent survey conducted by Pierre Audoin Consultants among decision-makers in companies in the German automotive industry has shown that the new communication channels (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) are not of central importance to the acquisition of new customers for a large proportion of respondents.
