The global and independent platform for the SAP community.

SAP Solution: Data Hub

For data management, SAP not only has an SQL database in Hana, but also a platform for graph theory and data vectors. Both methods are often better suited to displaying information than SQL tables. In the past, SAP made little fuss about these IT innovations.
SAP reported from New York that, following the introduction of HEC, HCP, SCP, SAC, and BTP, BDC has now been established. The new "Master Data Management" is intended for growth and success, leveraging a dual stack concept, similar to the approach used for Abap and Java in the NetWeaver stack. Doubts are high and skepticism prevails.
Data availability is not only an architecture issue, but also a time issue. If delivery is too late, the added value is zero. Real-time is therefore a strategic component in data management.
Four years ago, Franz Färber, then SAP EVP, presented the concept of the Data Hub at Sapphire in Orlando. Incompatibilities and data silos were to be a thing of the past. Every app should have access to every type of data. Datasphere now promises the same.
There is a new version of the legendary Data Hub at SAP. Because the former project failed miserably, it was quietly disposed of and is now to be replaced by Datasphere together with partners beyond the SAP community.
Pledge allegiance to SAP or seek alternatives? This question is being discussed more and more frequently among executives. It is not about Abap, SolMan or Hana, but about a new ERP beyond S/4. SAP has not yet understood this discussion.
Social media can be fun. Visionary decisions are a satisfying challenge. A keynote can also make you satisfied. But all of it is worth nothing without serious and conscientious groundwork.
Some time ago, I was advised to stop devoting too much attention and paper to the topic of "SAP Data Hub".
SAP Data Intelligence is a valuable addition to SAP Data Hub. Kubernetes is essential—and so is Linux.
Retailers must offer the perfect and individual customer experience for the digital customer. The demands of end customers require companies to respond quickly and develop different but synchronized customer touchpoints.
The leading cloud providers are still helping each other. A multicloud concept is supposed to bring SAP's existing customers more transparency and more flexibility. But SAP's proof of this is still lacking, yet the multicloud seems to be becoming a reality.
"Yet another new SAP product to evaluate," greeted me a few weeks ago from one of my best friends in the SAP community.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
