SAP Solution: General Data Protection Regulation

Since the end of the 20th century, business processes have been increasingly digital - including in HR management. But in this document-intensive area in particular, the proportion of processes on paper is still considerable.
Whether the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is overdue, just in time, or overshoots the mark will keep legal and IT experts busy for a long time to come. But one thing is already certain: online loses and print wins!
Personal data rightly deserves a high level of protection. The situation becomes difficult in multi-level application environments (such as SAP). There, this data may only be stored on the production system. But how can realistic tests be carried out in test environments without real data?
According to a recent study by market research and consulting firm PAC, demand for managed security services providers (MSSPs) is growing from European companies looking to arm themselves against increasing cybercrime and minimize security risks as part of digital transformation projects.
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is intended to standardize the processing of personal data by private companies and public bodies. But what is there to consider?
According to a recent study, mobile security incidents lead to six-figure losses in every fourth company. The situation has worsened compared to 2015.
The new EU data protection regulations are due to come into force in spring 2018. Companies of all sizes that store and process data now have just one and a half years to implement the data security requirements and the extensive accountability obligations.
