SAP Solution: Digital Core

Investments in digital transformation have been rising steadily for years. A real boost has come from the corona pandemic. Many of these changes would not have happened at the speed and focus they did without the pandemic.
The migration to S/4 does not only have technological benefits, but also offers companies the opportunity to redesign their traditional processes. Also potentially interesting: updating your licenses with contract conversion.
One way of getting customers to move to the ERP cloud is Indirect or Digital Access. SAP threatens customers with sky-high licensing fees—unless they migrate to the cloud.
With "Finance 2020," Michaela Peisger has just built the finance department of the future at KPMG in Germany. The new ERP system based on SAP S/4 Hana acts as a digital core to which all other systems are connected.
Relying on blockchain for certain specific business processes makes sense. SAP supports companies from various industries with blockchain services. Hana and Linux are great examples for being blockchain compatible.
There is no alternative to the S/4 switchover, but for many it is still a long way off. First of all, a roadmap is needed, geared to the perfect transformation point in time. It is also necessary to reconcile the conflicting expectations of business and IT.
Support for SAP SRM expires in 2025. As a result, companies have to re-map their complex purchasing processes, some of which have been built up over many years. The solution: S/4 Hana and SAP Ariba—in combination.
The medium-sized IT systems house Allgeier covers all relevant topics for existing SAP customers and complements SAP solutions with its own innovative answers. Allgeier thus offers a breadth and depth of SAP expertise that can hardly be found elsewhere. Allgeier CEO Jörg Dietmann spoke with E-3 Editor-in-Chief Peter M. Färbinger about the megatrends.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
