SAP Solution: Embrace

In May 2019, SAP launched its partner project Embrace, an initiative focused on making the switch to S/4 Hana and suitable cloud solutions easier and quicker for existing customers.

Embrace celebrated its one-year anniversary in October 2020. Renowned customers worldwide have chosen SAP and Microsoft with Embrace, and together the technological integration of the products has been massively expanded.

Cloud computing has arrived holistically and is establishing itself in all areas of information technology. Just a few years ago, cloud computing was a technical playground for IT innovators. This is not a success story, but a defeat and an admission of failure. The SAP community remembers Hana 2. Because the database could not be reformed, a new version had to be invented. Now there will be Embrace 2.0.

In IT, there should be a roadmap for everything and everyone. The map for Embrace appears flawed: SAP, Microsoft, AWS, and Google are hopelessly lost.

Microsoft and SAP have been working closely together for decades. But without the triad of Microsoft, SAP and system integrator, the journey to S/4 Hana or the cloud will not work.

Announced last October, SAP and Microsoft's Embrace program is designed to make cloud migration and adoption easier for customers and provide a harmonious approach to a wide range of technology scenarios.

Many companies are facing major challenges. Digital transformation and innovation are essential. How can Embrace help companies meet these challenges?

Of course, our high level of data protection is a great achievement and sensitive data does not belong in e-mails without encryption. But that is no reason to dispense with digitization altogether.
