SAP Solution: ERP/ECC-6.0

The classic SAP existing customer knows the challenges of a relaunch and the SAP community knows the discussion about the added value of a release upgrade. Many projects are merely technical in nature so that the existing version does not fall out of maintenance.
The changeover to S/4 and the development of a global template pose major challenges for the well-known technology company ZF Friedrichshafen with its heterogeneous ERP landscape.
I had a nice week with my wife in Berlin while SAP celebrated its "SAP Select" event at "Invitation Only" - the select audience is of course debatable.
It would be appealing: to take over SAP's production goods and no longer pay a maintenance fee. But wouldn't a clear separation of tasks make even more sense?
Implementing SAP test and training systems is laborious and time-consuming. Software engines are the solution, as they can tackle numerous challenges—including secure and fast data transfer of SAP mass data.
There may be industries where repair service behavior and actionism can prevent major disasters, but in the SAP community, longevity and sustainability set the tone.
There are "rumors" that yet another SAP customizing has hit the wall. Unfortunately, these reports are all too often true! The culprit is quickly found: SAP.
Playing does not mean that one plays and the other watches. But how can two people play together when their understanding of business processes could not be more different?
Many companies that are currently operating a more or less functional SAP R/3 system know that maintenance and support for ERP/ECC 6.0 and SAP Business Suite 7 will end in 2025. However, many companies are not really doing anything about it. Why is that?
A successful, cost-efficient and mostly effortless migration to S/4 Hana does not start with the migration per se. It starts with the architecture of the application landscape.
Once again this year, there was no peace offering from SAP to existing customers at the DSAG Annual Congress in Leipzig. The "ERP Firewall" 2025 still applies for the ultimate switch to S/4. A challenge for the global SAP community that is hardly manageable?
The summer is hot and thematically the coming fall will be even hotter for the SAP community: At the top of the list of topics is the discourse "ERP in the Dilemma".

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
