SAP-Solution: HCI

There are many concepts in the digital transformation. SAP's existing customers have years of experience in operations and need not so much visions, but concrete answers for a future IT architecture. Nutanix delivers the necessary concepts for the SAP community, report Peter Goldbrunner and Markus Pleier.
SAP's existing customers are moving in the direction of S/4 Hana. A few are almost there. Others are still searching, evaluating and planning. For all of them, there are fundamental decisions to be made: Cloud, on-prem or Hyper Converged Infrastructure? The Round Table is an orientation and a guide to action.
The theme of NetApp Insight in Barcelona in December 2018 was "Data Driven," and multicloud was the buzzword of the day.
Two-thirds of German IT decision-makers think hyperconverged infrastructures (HCI) are best suited for setting up and operating virtual desktop environments (VDI) and for simple virtualization of IT components in the data center.
The trend towards using more and more cloud services in companies is still continuing. The advantages of "Software as a Service (SaaS)" offerings are also increasingly recognized and appreciated in the DACH region.
Interview with Frank Scharpenberg, Head of SAP at Atos Germany, on the topic of SAP Hybris.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
