However, Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) has analyzed the market and customers’ needs and subsequently developed a cloud computing architecture that, among other things, offers cloud functionalities in on-premises data centers as well.

Cloud computing has become firmly established in recent years as a solution for a wide range of IT tasks and for providing a wide range of IT services. Customers appreciate the high degree of flexibility, the short provisioning times of the services and the fact that they only have to pay for what they actually use.

With the new Customer Edition of SAP Hana Enterprise Cloud with HPE GreenLake, customers can take advantage of the cloud in their own data center.

In order to promptly replace outdated IT infrastructure and financial accounting with a modern one, Butzkies Stahlbau opted for SAP. The new system was planned and implemented by the ERP specialists of the Kiel-based Vater Group. Instead of investing in new hardware, the medium-sized company opted for a cloud-based solution in the Vater Business Cloud.

There are quite a number of existing SAP customers who have had little to do with open source up to now. But without knowing it, they are indirectly using Linux, OpenStack, or Cloud Foundry.
