IBM expects that the 1000 mark in Hana on IBM Power systems sold will be surpassed in the current third quarter. Despite slightly higher system acquisition costs, the Hana hardware latecomer considers itself to have an advantage over the Hana on Intel competition. No crystal ball is needed in the SAP community. The 2025 deadline will not be met, as all existing customers know by now. Hana and S/4 or SoH are not a technical release change. Z-functions have to be sorted out and employees trained. That takes time!
