Mr. Wetterauer, to what extent is demand-driven MRP worthwhile for companies?
At Sapphire, SAP unveiled its development strategy for Demand-Driven MRP. This supports a concept that finally adapts supply chain planning to business realities. For many SAP users, this is still uncharted territory.
Series manufacturers in machine, equipment and component construction are faced with the challenge of planning their production processes more efficiently in order to ensure adherence to schedules, make optimum use of capacities and reduce inventories. The remedy of choice is usually a conversion of production planning to new tools - this is easier with adapted templates and predefined functions.
The wealth of information continues to increase with the digital transformation. At the DSAG annual congress, FIS will show how data volumes can be managed and which tools can be used to extract added value for the business from the information.
