SAP Solution: Roadmap

At the Corporate Summit, the consultancy presents its agenda for the future and its further development into a global brand. More than 70 percent of the world market leaders from the DACH region are now cbs customers.
In IT, there should be a roadmap for everything and everyone. The map for Embrace appears flawed: SAP, Microsoft, AWS, and Google are hopelessly lost.
Two buzzwords are cropping up more and more often in social discourse. Resilience and the obligation to justify would be anchor points for SAP CEO Christian Klein. We need resilience and verified roadmaps.
The demand for innovative solutions to tackle ever-evolving challenges and support smart processes and new business models in the era of digitalization is rising. To become more resilient and adaptive, 11,500 customers worldwide are leveraging SAP S/4 Hana.
How should companies go about the migration to S/4 Hana? There’s a lot of uncertainty surrounding SAP’s new software generation. Most, if not all, users of R/3, ERP/ECC 6.0 and Business Suite 7 feel unsure of what to do, even though there is a plethora of information and recommendations available.
In the fifth IT season, when the numerous kick-off events thwart any meaningful work, I always have my thoughts about the next decade: What might an ERP/CRM system look like in ten years?
Stupidly, SAP's existing customers can't wait. Real life does not stand still. SAP and some partners prefer to discuss visions instead of offering viable roadmaps.
Gaps in the information and planning process often cause faulty and unstructured communication between all areas of the supply chain. Companies cannot provide their organization with the latest planning data in a timely manner, and forecast quality is impaired. Integrated Business Planning (IBP) can provide a remedy here.
From a functional point of view, customers need not fear the change from SAP Solution Manager 7.1 to 7.2. All the functionalities of the older version will also be available in the new version and will not, as is repeatedly heard, be reserved for major customers only or be usable against additional licensing. Instead, new innovative themes and functions will be added.
Larsen & Toubro Infotech is one of a small group that has already gained concrete experience with Solution Manager 7.2. In an exclusive interview with E-3, Area Director Bernd Martin talks about the opportunities presented by the new SolMan and the other challenges facing existing SAP customers.
Is S/4 Hana already up to the challenges of digital transformation? The following section takes stock of the situation and looks at initial experiences. The focus of the consideration is on the questions: What is the strategic positioning of S/4 Hana in our digital age and what paths to S/4 Hana implementation are companies choosing?
In the past, when Customer Relationship Management (CRM) was still called Computer Aided Sales (CAS) or Sales Information System (VIS), many projects failed because IT alone was responsible for a project. This distribution of roles has changed.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
