SAP Solution: SCP

A more cost-effective business model with improved access, security and the ability to respond flexibly to growing or fluctuating business needs has never been more important. Cloud computing is the most obvious answer to these requirements.

As a cloud application, the "xSuite Business Partner Portal Sphere" automates and centralizes communication as well as data or document exchange with suppliers in the P2P process for SAP user companies.

DevOps is a buzzword. Many people praise it as universal remedy for slow reaction times, the experience gap, and competitive disadvantages. What DevOps really does is to improve development cycles and feedback loops.

One of Snap's self-images is that we deal with innovations as early as possible. With Abap on the SAP Cloud Platform (SCP), for example.

Less than a year after former SAP CTO Björn Goerke announced in his 2017 TechEd keynote that SAP was working on bringing an Abap runtime environment to the SCP, it has also been available since early September 2018.

The SAP Cloud Platform is not my primary interest. I stopped programming a long time ago, but there are strategic and educational aspects that are important to discuss. What does SAP want with the SCP?
