The internet opens up new business opportunities for retail like B2B2C. However, companies need to be aware of possible chances as well as risks.
Many companies are currently digitizing their service and maintenance processes. This gives rise to personnel, organizational and technical issues. Hannes Heckner, CEO of MobileX, knows how companies can best overcome these challenges.
CAD data are the basic framework. The variant configuration is the individual offer to the customer. Added to this are good relationship management and pricing. Until an ERP system is a satisfactory quotation and sales system, it needs many adaptations. SAP partner SAE has solved this Gordian knot. Peter M. Many companies use forms in service and maintenance - often still in paper form. However, processes are often already mapped digitally. The resulting media disruptions increase the potential for errors and damage competitiveness. Yet these could be avoided.
In mid-May, the SAP partner association IA4SP (International Association for SAP Partners) celebrates its tenth anniversary with a major anniversary event. In the run-up to the event, E-3 spoke with association president Frank Bayer about what has been achieved so far and his visions for 2022.
The transformation process is not an end in itself or a technical release change. At the preliminary end of the process, there should not be a digital solution that is functionally no different from the previous version, but something truly new!
What strategies can be used to successfully harness the digital transformation? Opinion leaders will discuss this at the 2nd Handelsblatt Industry 4.0 Summit.
