SAP Solution: Skills shortage

The market has many international experts and lateral entrants to offer. To exploit this potential, some decision-makers still need to rethink and transform processes.
Flexibility, speed of response and cost efficiency are becoming increasingly important in logistics due to increased process costs, the ongoing shortage of skilled workers, competitive pressures and geopolitical disruptions in international freight traffic.
Skills shortages are one of the most common challenges to cloud adoption.
If you take a look at job portals, you will discover many vacancies in human resources management. They are looking for people to draw up contracts, prepare payroll accounting or compile statistics. More and more often, these positions remain unfilled.
It is probably only logical that in our world full of uncertainties, of all things, planning is becoming more and more of a focus. The bottlenecks along global supply chains and the shortage of skilled workers have shown how important it is to make the best possible use of valuable resources.
The situation on the labor market is becoming increasingly precarious - there is a shortage of qualified specialists. This is also confirmed by 73 percent of 250 companies surveyed from a wide range of industries in the DACH region.
Because SAP does not find acceptance among IT experts, computer scientists and system engineers, the ERP group turns to its users and tries to animate them to dilettante programming. What is to be built here?
Topics such as globalization, digital transformation and demographic change are currently shaping our working world. While established hierarchies are breaking down, new organizational models are increasingly replacing the old structures.
A study conducted in the DACH region has revealed that certain key factors play a decisive role in digitization projects. These include, in particular, resources, timing and know-how.
The shortage of skilled workers in Germany continues to worsen. The German Chamber of Industry and Commerce is not the only one to observe this with great concern, with its report already showing that more than half of companies are unable to fill vacancies.
The issue of skills shortages and bottlenecks has preoccupied many companies in a wide range of industries and sizes for some time. One central reason for this is often overlooked.
Companies that put off urgently needed young talent by using manual processes and outdated software—particularly in accounting—are shooting themselves in the foot.
