SAP Solution: transformation

The latest IT transformation study reveals major discrepancies between the goals defined in advance and the results achieved.
The expectations of today's SAP transformations could hardly be greater. Companies expect leaner processes, state-of-the-art technologies and massive efficiency gains. However, there is often a considerable gap between these ambitious goals and reality.
Following the efforts to ensure consistent end-to-end processes, the topics of data economy and data management with Gen AI are now becoming even more important. At the beginning of the S/4 conversion, SAP customers realized very quickly that a successful release changeover would not be possible without verified and archived data. Even back then, SAP partner DMI was a leading consultant, service provider and supplier in this area.
The crown jewels of countless manufacturing companies are stuck in outdated PDM/PLM systems. To make themselves fit for the transformation to new software generations, companies need one thing above all: freedom for their product data.
Transformation projects are very extensive and complex. This is why consultants are often called in. However, hardly any consultant has experience with all manufacturers, offers all services along the transformation or supports all migration processes.
The Blanc & Fischer Group was faced with the task of modernizing its ERP systems. To this end, the company carried out two S/4 transformations in its operational corporate groups E.G.O. and Blanco. The smooth go-live of the E.G.O. Group took place after a project duration of 2.5 years.
A culture of convenience or of experience? Online shopping is putting pressure on brick-and-mortar retailers. Consumers order from the comfort of their sofas and have products delivered to their doorstep.
It is now widely recognized within the SAP community that data and its dependencies considerably prolong the upgrade to the next SAP generation. But there is an ideal remedy: a shortcut via One Click Transformation.
All too often, SAP customers migrate far too much data to S/4, and in poor quality, losing its business context in the process. This turns a treasure trove of data into a risk for the data-driven enterprise of the future.
The transformation to S/4 is possible without pre-projects. What is needed is an approach that decouples data management and application lifecycles management from each other, but which optimally aligns them at the same time.
Linux, as an open source operating system, has been present in the SAP community for about 20 years. But open source is much more. In recent years, the scene has evolved rapidly, and with IBM's acquisition of Red Hat, the topic of "open source" received its B2B accolade.
No monthly SAP news should be disregarded. The Short Facts are dedicated to minor news as well as seemingly more or less important statements from the community. This is the place for SAP-specific press releases that otherwise tend to be overlooked. Companies and people are not indexed.

Working on the SAP basis is crucial for successful S/4 conversion.

This gives the Competence Center strategic importance for existing SAP customers. Regardless of the S/4 Hana operating model, topics such as Automation, Monitoring, Security, Application Lifecycle Management and Data Management the basis for S/4 operations.

For the second time, E3 magazine is organizing a summit for the SAP community in Salzburg to provide comprehensive information on all aspects of S/4 Hana groundwork.
